Tecno has been working on the phantom series for a while now and the Phantom X is what is ready for Tecno. This will be their revival to the flagship midrange sector in the smartphone industry and will take on the likes of Samsung, Xiaomi, Vivo and many more tech brands across the Kenyan market.

So far much has been said about the phantom X from amazing display to better optics and more and we will confirm everything after the launch event which is of course happening soon as the official Tecno social media pages both on Facebook and Twitter have started teasing the phone.

What is known so far about Tecno Phantom X

As per the information we have, the phone will feature a curved edge AMOLED display which will be 6.7 inch FHD+ and support 90Hz refresh rate. The front are rear panels will have Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Due to it AMOLED panel, you can expect an under-display fingerprint scanner.

The front camera features 48MP+8MP dual selfie cameras with a selfie flash while the back has a 50MP+13MP+8MP triple camera setup with quad rear flash. The camera can record 4K videos at up to 60fps, 960fps slow motion videos, 4K time-lapse footage and has super night mode for night shots. Tecno has also added Dual core plus laser focus on the camera to help in low light focus and distant subject focus. You also get up to 20X digital zoom.

It will use a MediaTek Helio G95 chipset. You will get 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. To power everything up is a 4,700mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging which as per Tecno can charge 70% in 30 minutes. Liquid cooling will be available to keep the phone cool during those intense gaming moments incase your phone starts heating up. HiOS based on Android 11 will be pre-installed out of the box.

Tecno will also feature their own voice assistant called ELLA on the Phantom X. As per the specs you have just seen, it seems Tecno is ready to make sure it takes the place of the mid-range segment.

For the price, the Tecno Phantom X will cross the Ksh 30,000 mark but we leave that for the official launch to confirm.
