Apple has today revealed the schedule of its annual Worldwide Developers Conference which will run from June 7th – June 10th. Like last year, the event will be all-online. The biggest news is expected to happen on the first day starting with a keynote address which will the unveil new updates coming to all Apple platforms later this year.
WWDC brings together the global Apple developer community and provides them with new insights into the technologies, tools, and frameworks they rely on. The conference offers developers the opportunity to engage with one another, and directly with Apple engineers for guidance on building innovative and platform-differentiating apps and games.

Apple Keynote
June 7, 10 a.m. PDT (8 p.m EAT)
WWDC21 kicks off with the unveiling of exciting new updates coming to all Apple platforms later this year. Streamed directly from Apple Park, the keynote address will be available via apple.com, the Apple Developer app, the Apple TV app, and YouTube, with on-demand playback available after the conclusion of the stream.
Platforms State of the Union
June 7, 2 p.m. PDT (12:00 a.m EAT)
Take a deeper dive into the new tools, technologies, and advances across Apple platforms that will help Apple developers create even better apps. Platforms State of the Union will stream via the Apple Developer app and the Apple Developer website.
Apple Design Awards
June 10, 2 p.m. PDT (12:00 a.m EAT)
Every year, the Apple Design Awards celebrate the creative artistry, craftsmanship, and technical achievement of Apple developers. The Apple Design Awards will stream via the Apple Developer app and the Apple Developer website.
WWDC21 will likely reveal updates on iOS 15, iPadOS 15, macOS 12, watchOS 8 and tvOS 15. There also could be some hardware announcements, like a follow-up to Apple’s M1 chips, designed by Apple and currently running on the new iMac and iPad Pro models. The tagline of the event is “Glow and behold” along with an animation of a memoji character looking at a opened MacBook. This is a nod to memes of Apple’s Senior Vice President of Software Engineering Craig Federighi in November’s event for Macs.
The event will start on June 7th at 8 p.m East African Time and will be streamed directly from Apple Park, via apple.com, the Apple Developer app, the Apple TV app, and YouTube.
