Realme has officially launched a new Image sensor powered smartphone– its first model in Kenya to have a resolution of 108MP. The phone is designed with the youths in the country in mind with its design and top-notch camera at its price point.
The phone comes with a 6.4″ Super AMOLED 90Hz refresh rate display with 1000nits peak brightness and is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The display also houses the fingerprint scanner which also doubles as heart rate sensor, a feature I will explain the usability on our short video series and the selfie camera.
Realme 9 also is the first phone in the market with an exterior made through world’s first ripple holographic design solution, a leveled up trendy design building on innovations from realme 8 Pro’s fluorescent design to 9 Pro’s Light Shift design.
Inside is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 6nm processor coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage which can be expanded via the dedicated microSD card slot.
To the camera, the Reame 9 4G comes with a 108MP main camera, 8MP Ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The front features a 16MP shooter. Both the rear and from cameras only shoot 1080@30fps.
Powering the device is a 5000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging and the power adapter included in the box. Realme promises 100% in 75 minutes. Other features include Bluetooth 5.1, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C.
Realme 9 4G price and availability
