Realme Kenya has set the launch for their next device for February 24th. The brand has been in the country for a while and their main focus as seen has been on the budget to the mid-range smartphone market. The launch event for the Realme 9i will be live-streamed on Realme Kenya’s YouTube channel from 10 AM EAT.

The Realme 9i comes with a 6.6″ FHD+ 90Hz refresh rate display with an 84% screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood is the Qualcomm snapdragon 680 6nm processer coupled with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Also included is a MicroSD slot for those expandable storage options. You get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for protection and easier unlocking your device.
To the cameras, the device has a 50MP+2MP Macro+2MP depth sensor triple rear setup and a 16MP selfie shooter. Both rear and front cameras shoot up to 1080p@30fps videos. The battery has 5000mAh capacity and can fast-charge at 33W. Other features include stereo speakers, USB Type-C and Bluetooth 5.0. For the price, I will update it once the device has been announced locally.
