Samsung has launched their latest 5G smartphone for the A-series Galaxy A52s 5G. The phone doesn’t have a launch date in Kenya but as 5G connectivity keeps growing, we expect more of these 5G devices very soon. For now, only Safaricom has 5G coverage but is limited to few places in Kenya while Airtel is testing its own.
Specifications and pricing
The Galaxy A52s 5G Features a 6.5″ FHD+ Super AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G is the processer in use here. You get up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Android 11 is pre-installed out of the box with OneUI 3.1 on top of it.
To the cameras, you get a 64+12+5+5MP quad rear setup and a 32MP selfie shooter. The rear main camera(64MP) supports Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
The phone is powered by a 4500mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. Other features include IP67 water and dust resistance rating and Under display fingerprint scanner.
As of the pricing, the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G starts at $499. More details of availability will be updated once we have more information.
